The park is on the river at Hayden Run Road.

The rim of the gorge is fenced off, and a staircase goes to the bottom.

You leave the sunlight and descend into the shade. Before the staircase was built, this was a scramble on the cliff.

You can get a close look at the cliffs and wildflowers as you go down the stairs.

At the bottom of the stairs, you\'re in the braided streambed. This is often flooded.

At the mouth of the gorge, Hayden Run empties into Griggs Reservoir.

The stream drops its sediment as it slows into the reservoir, then braids through the gravel that has buried the bottom of the gorge.

In the gorge, the stream winds through a tunnel of green.
